Pamela - That looks truly horrible. Reminds me of the orange sky in London.

RichA - Back from viewing the real night sky in the Sierras? Love the idea of star parties. There's actually a pretty strong telescope at the Coral Strand Hotel. I looked through last year and saw Saturn. It looked exactly like a cartoon Saturn...

Yes, I'm back from the Sierras with stars in my eyes :)

With the rich Southern night sky overhead, there must be some amateur astronomers on Mahe willing to share their knowledge and telescopes.

And always, beware of the Star Police!

Truly love the last photo. :-)
sometimes I just wish we can have a night of complete darkness instead of so many lights on to confuse the animals into thinking it's daylight. :D

I like the last one especially. LOL! Just kidding. It is good to see a familiar night light of Singapore. I like the one in Brazil.

I love night time city scapes. Makes the concrete jungle picturesque!
